Design Philips booth at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2016

IDEA

We present a space that removes focus from the interior and makes light, the main object. Notice how light behaves in different ways depending on material and surface creating indulging experiences controlled by the user. Working as a blank canvas, it enables the imagination to create the right light for any moment. This exhibition was designed by the Swedish design group Ames Studio, and Svante Pettersson, Creative Director of Philips Lighting Nordic.

All interactive rooms uses Philips HUE-technology, LED lamps controlled by the Hue app. Giving you endless pre-settings and customisation possibilities for your home.

“We wanted to design an interactive experience that reminded the visitors of a technical drawing. By outlining the functionality of each room, we built a scenario that uses light as the main scenography.”

“I wanted a clean sheet to set the light scenarios on by letting light and architecture play together. No element of the scenarios is dominant, instead they interact together giving a complete story.”
